Will Listen and Work for YOU!

Welcome,

Thanks for visiting my website.  I hope that I already know you, but if not, here is some information
about me and my hopes for Western Wisconsin.

I am a democratic candidate for the 91st Assembly to succeed retiring State Representative Barbara Gronemus.

I am a life-long resident of the area and reside in the rural Durand area. I am currently serving my third term on the Pepin County Board of Supervisors.  I work as a Union Millwright, maintaining and installing machinery in industry.
I have been married for 38 years to my wife Glenys, and have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren who all live within the 91st Assembly District, so what happens in the 91st Assembly District and Wisconsin is extremely important to me.  I come from a rural family background that involved agriculture, education, and small business.
I am familiar with issues facing many of you.

  • One of the major issues facing residents of the 91st Assembly District is maintaining quality education in our financially stressed rural school districts, while giving property tax relief.  We need a different way to fund our school districts, so that our children and grandchildren get the quality education that we are proud of in Wisconsin, without causing undue financial burden on taxpayers.
  • The formula for school funding needs to change.

  • Another major issue facing residents is the need for continued support and expansion of agriculture and ag-related business.  Our rural residents and communities rely on agriculture for their way of life and existence.  As family farms change and new agriculture opportunities develop we need to be ready to support those who need help, because everyone benefits from a healthy rural economy. The preservation and protection of landowner rights granted to us under the Constitution is what made this country great.
  • The right to farm must be maintained, so that our rural economy can grow and prosper.

  • The third major issue facing rural residents, small and large businesses in the 91st District is affordable health care, while maintaining a high level of service for Wisconsin families. There is presently legislation in both the House and the Senate that are trying to address this need.
  • I am committed to making health care affordable.

These major issues are important in the 91st Assembly District and throughout Wisconsin.
They will help to maintain our rural quality of life, now and for future generations.

The primary is Tuesday September 9th and the general election Tuesday November 4th.  Your support and votes are very important, so that I can represent you in Madison.

Will Listen and Work for YOU,
